The Black Sky Sequined Available Today! 5/5/15

Hi all,

After many weeks of recording and many months of promotion I am happy to say that Colorway’s second album, The Black Sky Sequined, is finally available worldwide!

Whether it’s the download, the CD or the deluxe 180 gram vinyl that you choose I can assure you that if you like great pop and rock music you will absolutely love this record.

You can make it yours a number of ways:

If you would like to purchase a download you can get that at Bandcamp (where you can stream the album as well).

For an actual CD or LP delivered to you then head to the Colorway Shop (where we’re having a sale on tee shirts and tank tops just in time for summer).

You can pick it up in person at several locations in the Pioneer Valley.

They are:

Turn it Up
5 Pleasant St
Northampton, MA

Platterpus Records
28 Cottage St
Easthampton, MA

Cup and Top Cafe (CD only)
1 North Maple St
Florence, MA

Wild Mutation Records
52 Main St Suite 6
Florence, MA

Mystery Train Records
178A North Pleasant St
Amherst, MA

And, of course, you can pick up the album at any of our shows . . . like this Thursday, 5/7 at the Narrows Center For The Arts where we play at 8pm in my old hometown of Fall River, MA.

Or our Album Release Show at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton on Thursday, May 14 at 7pm with special guests, Goldwater the Second

So there you have it, gang. It’s been a long road to get to this place we’re at. I hope the music serves you well. I wrote it in the summertime and I really think that shows.

Crank it up in your car with the windows down and let the wind rush through and take you places that make you happy.

That’s all I could ever hope for.

And on we go . . .

Popmatters.com features Colorway for audio premiere

Very excited to announce that the international music/arts/culture blog Popmatters.com featured the worldwide audio premiere of “Come Back July.” It also ran a new pic of us (snapped by the illustrious Paul Shoul) and added a bit more backstory on the tune. You can check it out right here.

Like I’ve said before, good things are happening these days and this is just one delightful example.

Rock on.

Friday 3/20 Buzz Blowout party, WRSI, new photos, and some pre-order news!

Hi guys,

Just wanted to drop a line to say that things are really picking up with the new album and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Beginning April 1 you will be able to pre-order the album via Bandcamp. And with every pre-order you will receive a download of our first single, “Come Back July.” Check back at www.colorway.bandcamp.com for more details as the date nears.

Also, we’re going to be playing a set this coming Friday, 3/20 at One Bar (the old Elevens on Pleasant St. in Northampton) and all the details are below. This is going to be our last local show until our album release at the Iron Horse on May 14 so come and rock out with us while you can. There are twelve bands and two stages. We go on at 9:05

We have a few tickets left to Friday’s show and if you purchase them through us we would be most appreciative. 100% of each band’s ticket sales go to the band and that is how we get paid. So if you’re in the Noho area and would like to arrange for a special delivery of any number of tickets please write to info@colorwaymusic.com.

Spring tour is shaping up and we’ve already posted a few dates on our shows page. If you have friends in Philadelphia, Raleigh, or DC then we’ve got some gigs they can come to. It will be our first tour and we’re super excited to get out there and play for some new sets of ears.

Also, we are always grateful to have the support of WRSI 93.9 in our endeavors to share our music. And we got word just the other day that they have decided to add “Come Back July” to their rotation. If you’re not in the Pioneer Valley listening area you can listen anytime on their web player.  And I wouldn’t be my mother’s son if I didn’t tell you you can write them and request the tune if that’s something you’d like to do. E-quests can be made right here.   See, Ma? I learned well.  🙂

Also, we are thrilled to have been able to work with the esteemed valley photographer, Paul Shoul last week. He got some great pics of us that you’ll be seeing us use here and there (and hopefully in print in the very near future). They’re also up on the website so poke around and see what you can see.

Well, that’s pretty much it for now.

I’ll post again in a while with more details on the pre-order and all that. But suffice to say that this is going to be our busiest and best spring ever.

Thanks so much for being along for the ride. Really and truly.

Rock on,

~F.A.J
