From the IHEG site:
To the casual music fan, The Yardbirds are best known as the band that honed the skills of future “guitar gods” Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page; and for their slew of chart hits, including “For Your Love,” “Heart Full of Soul”, “I’m A Man”, and “Over Under Sideways Down”. Led by core members and songwriters Jim McCarty (drums), Chris Dreja (rhythm guitar/bass) and the late Keith Relf (vocals/harmonica), the band’s experimental explorations also provided the crucial link between British R&B, Psychedelic Rock, and Heavy Metal, while pioneering the use of innovations like fuzz tone, feedback and distortion. In 2015, Jim McCarty debuted the new touring line-up of The Yardbirds, consisting of lead guitarist Johnny A, bassist Kenny Aaronson, singer / harpist / percussionist Myke Scavone, and guitarist / singer John Idan to rave reviews. As Goldmine Magazine stated, “the band’s hallmark of top-notch musicianship remains. There are no passengers in this band.”

Tuesday, August 21, Colorway Performs at Transperformance 28 as Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
Once again, on Tuesday, August 21st, 2018 it’s time to celebrate our community and the arts with Transperformance 28: AmperBands!, THE end-of-the-summer music festival at Pines Theater-Look Park. This year we will celebrate connection, collaboration and the power of performing together with Transperformance 28: Amperbands! Your favorite local acts will take the Pines Theater stage to perform 10 minutes of material from dynamic duos to famous families to superstars and their trusty backing bands. Featured AmperBands include:
Colorway as Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Mary Jane Jones as Ike & Tina Turner, Aloha Steamtrain as Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars, Steve Westfield and the Lonesome Brothers as Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Soul Magnets as Sly & the Family Stone, Fancy Trash as Paul McCartney & Wings, Zip Cody & Friends as Adam & the Ants, Appalachian Still as Steve Earle & the Dukes, King Radio as Simon & Garfunkel, Eric Olsson and Free Range Cats as Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention, Page Six as K.C & the Sunshine Band, Johnny Memphis Band as Toots & the Maytals, Wishbone Zoe as Siouxsie & the Banshees, Volstead Act as Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Flathead Rodeo as Bill Haley & the Comets, Bruce Mandaro as Derek & the Dominos, Jerks on the Loose as Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt & Emmylou Harris. Come celebrate 28 years of bringing our community members together to support music and the arts!
Food will be available from La Veracruzana Mexican Restaurant, Bart’s Ice Cream and other local restaurants. Per request of Look Park: No Pets, No Coolers and No Beverages please. Look Park charges a $5 special events vehicle entry fee for all vehicles without season passes. A portion of the proceeds support arts enrichment programs in the Public Schools of Northampton, Leeds, and Florence.
Each year in August the Northampton Arts Council and the Parent Teacher Organizations of Northampton’s public school system join forces to raise funds for arts enrichment in the schools and for the ArtsEZ grant program.
The original concept for Transperformance was for local bands to take on a persona of another established nationally recognized act and perform or “Transperform” their bands’ style. The acts that are chosen are done thematically, such as Transperformance 22 “Food Groups” (Heather Maloney as Amy Winehouse) or Transperformance 17 “Color By Numbers” (Primate Fiasco as Pink Floyd) or Transperformance 23 “Beyond Bob” (Rusty Belle as Bob Dylan). Over the years Transperformance has evolved and tribute style performances have become acceptable if not the norm.

About Rice: An American Band
Rice – an American Band was born in the summer of 2014 as a few friends got together to jam, and liked the results. A mutual admiration society developed and a love of performing music together was created.
The band has already played clubs in CT, MA, RI, and VT. Festival plays already include Strangecreek Campout, Wormtown Music Festival, Jerry Jam and the Redneck Olympics and ski areas already include Stratton and Mount Snow.
The band plays a combination of originals and covers including material from classic bands like Pink Floyd, the Grateful Dead, Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Ray Vaughn. But lesser known material from bands like Woodbox Gang and International Anthem will play to fans like originals though they are written by past indie bands.
See Rice: An American Band on Facebook.

Tuesday, August 22, Colorway Performs at The 27th Annual Transperformance as Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble
Save the date for Transperformance 27: Rock and Roll Heaven Revisited on Tuesday, August 22nd from 4:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Join us as we celebrate 27 years of sailing into the summer sunset with everyone’s favorite end of summer event.
What is Transperformance?
For 26 years Transperformance has been entertaining crowds of thousands while raising money for arts enrichment programs in Northampton public schools. Every year the event is held on a Tuesday in late August and sells out the Pines Theater at Look Park in Florence.
The original concept for Transperformance was for local bands to take on a persona of another established nationally recognized act and perform or “Transperform” their bands’ style. The acts that are chosen are done thematically, such as Transperformance 22 “Food Groups” (Heather Maloney as Amy Winehouse) or Transperformance 24 “Off the Map” (Colorway as Boston) or Transperformance 23 “Beyond Bob” (Rusty Belle as Bob Dylan).
This year Alex will dust off the 1961 Strat and flip that pickup switch way up to the neck position as he and Colorway take on Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble.
Alex will also be playing with Dan Daniels as Guy Clark and Zip Cody as Ronnie James Dio. All times TBA

Saturday, April 29, Colorway Performs at S.P.I.T.T.L.E. Fest, The Pour House Music Hall, Raleigh, NC
What is S.P.I.T.T.L.E. Fest, you ask? Why it’s the annual Southern Plunge Into Trailer Trash, Leisure and Entertainment Festival and it’s where Drunk Stuntmen got their start whirling the dervishes back in the early 2000s.
Looks like it’s Colorway’s turn to try and kick things into high gear right from the get go. Six bands will do it to it starting with us at 7pm and rocking on into the wee hours. Can’t wait for this very special return to the land where rock and roll still resonates and shaking it all night is de rigueur.

Bands (not in order of appearance):
Colorway

Paleface
Temperance League
Hank Sinatra
Peter Holsapple (founding member of the dB’s)
From the Pour House event listing:
Southern Plunge into Trailer Trash Leisure and Entertainment (SPITTLE FEST) returns April 29th!
Beer drinking Americana music from singer songwriters to rockabilly from honky tonk to country rock, bluegrass to twang. S.P.I.T.T.L.E. Fest began in the 90’s at the Brewery and returns in 2014 at The Pour House Music Hall, the home of Americana music in Raleigh, NC.
Hank Sinatra storms like a hellbent Bakersfield boy punching it with some friends in a stuffy garage. With an enticing mix of hardcore, early ’70s garage rock, and honky-tonk, these boys bring the country music scene to a different level -The Indy
Paleface: Prolific, influential, cult-hero & indie -folk icon, PALEFACE, is now a high-energy & charismatic duo featuring his girlfriend Monica “Mo” Samalot, on drum-kit & charming candied vocal harmonies. The band celebrated the release of their latest album, One Big Party (Ramseur Records), with a special guest performance alongside The Avett Brothers at Radio City Music Hall, followed by US & Europe tours…including special performances on NPR’s Mountain Stage & Daytrotter (voted top 20 of the year). PALEFACE, was schooled musically by friend Daniel Johnston (The Devil And Daniel Johnston) and soon discovered at an NYC open mic by Danny Fields (The Stooges, The Ramones, MC5). He’s released over a dozen records including two major label releases, and has been called a major influence & inspiration by a wide range of artists including Grammy Award recipient BECK, and The Avett Brothers. He’s also collaborated and appeared on three albums by The Avett Brothers.
Temperance League: What do you do when the rock & roll Gods and odds stack up against you? When Time says the velvet ropes, limousines and magazine covers have passed you by, or that rock & roll is only a young man’s passing digital fancy? Do you pack it in, pull up a bar stool and content yourself with re-living the glory days?
Or do you hunker down, turn it up, and tell the Gods and Time to fuck the fuck off? The gentlemen in Temperance League choose the latter, and this beggar’s dozen of lunch-bucket anthems is the night-in, night-out product of a band just nailing down its stride.
What matters here is experience: A rhythm section locked in, a song-serving guitar solo, a singer who spills his guts into every desperate ballad and transcendent rocker.
Without aping the classics, but built from the same DNA, Temperance League’s sophomore slab reminds us that heart-felt rock & roll songs don’t care how old or famous you are – only that you mean it.

About Richard Lloyd (of Television)
Iconic . . . legendary . . . unique . . . all can be used to describe Richard Lloyd, but the most accurate word might be “relevant.” After a career spanning more than forty years, Richard Lloyd continues to make great records and deliver exciting live performances.
Learning from the master himself, Jimi Hendrix, Richard was among the very few pioneers of the New York underground scene, headquartered at CBGB. With Tom Verlaine, a founding member of the seminal band, Television, Richard made some of the best rock and roll records of the all time–Marquee Moon and Adventure. Striking out on his own, Richard gave us Alchemy, Field of Fire, Radiant Monkey, The Cover Doesn’t Matter, and more. Richard Lloyd was also the guitar master behind Matthew Sweet, John Doe, and Rocket From the Tombs.
In preparation for a new record, Richard Lloyd is touring again with his quartet, performing selections spanning his entire career. “It is still as exciting to play live as it was when I was 27, jumping up and down on hotel beds.”
About Spectral Fangs
For the past three years, Spectral Fangs have been been on a spiritual journey intent on doing whatever the hell they want. From releasing the semi-psychedelic EP Memory Girl, which featured makeshift sitar and a gussied-up basement reverb vibe to playing shows from Brooklyn to sweaty basements everywhere, the Fangs have made their own weird way in the world. About Flux Capacitor:
Emerging from the Pennsylvania music scene, from the outskirts of the City of Brotherly Love, is the phenom band known as Flux Capacitor. Their fiery, distinct sound has catapulted the group with lightning speed into the National Music Scene.
This band of brothers consistently inspire and evoke a new and wildly addicting sound resonating with elements of rock, improvisation and electronica. They redefine musicality with positive prophetic vocals, complex guitar work, innovative keys/synths/bass stylings, with feverish syncopated drum rhythms. Flux Capacitor concerts are filled with improvisation, musical segues, spontaneous covers, and teases creating a unique, one of a kind experience at every performance. The essence of the brothers music is fueled by their dedicated practice of meditation and lucid dreaming which keeps them fueled by a higher power. Their electric vibe transcends the stage and extends into the crowd creating a magical musical ambience.
About The Root Cellar:
The Root Cellar is a brand new music venue and bar in Greenfield designed to bring the best of the Valley to our community, celebrating everything local: from musicians, artists, brewers, distillers, farmers and artists. We are creating an atmosphere that can provide a sweaty dance party one night, a mellow acoustic set another, and also be the place you stop in for a local brew or a herbal infused cocktail with friends. The Root Cellar is the brain child of a musician and a farmer and is fueled by a love of homemade, down-home fun – we are hoping to bring this positive spirit to Greenfield in an inexpensive, unpretentious way that makes everyone feel welcome. With plenty of space for you to dance, a top-of-the-line sound system, room on stage for bands to do their thing, and experienced sound professionals, The Root Cellar strives to be the Pioneer Valley venue where the quality of your music experience takes center stage.

Super-excited to be part of this show.
From IHEG’s event page:
If Aretha Franklin & Chaka Khan fronted Led Zeppelin…..DELTA DEEP is a pure blend of true blues and powerful soul music revisited. Iconic rock band Def Leppard’s lead guitarist Phil Collen, Queen of the Blues songstress Debbi Blackwell-Cook, legendary bassist Robert DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots, and enigmatic drummer Forrest Robinson have contributed their musical prowess to preserving blues in it’s rawest form. With a blend of rock, blues, and soul the band has managed to create a harmonic symphony of tasty musical treats for the most die hard of blues fans and then some. This group is sure to go down in the delta and in history as they celebrate their bluesy rock-n-soul music heroes and embody the spirit that made those artists an invaluable part of American music history.

The Bowery Electric, a rock bar opened in the former Remote Lounge space, is a straightforward affair à la Midway, R Bar, and others, dimly lit by Edison bulbs: Horsehair-type stools at a long bar in the front room (12 beers on tap) and some tables in the boxy back room, where of course Remote Lounge’s surveillance stations used to be. And while that sounds like an undersell, check out the owner roll: in addition to Diane Gentile, the proprietors are Jesse Malin and Johnny T of Niagara and Black and White (and in Malin’s case, Coney Island High before those), which is a hell of a pedigree. The bar is the picture of simplicity, and, given the gatekeepers, we suspect it’ll stay that way.

Regional acts also made the Coffee Pot a regular part of their tour, including SNUFF and the Skip Castro Band. A bit more about the club (from New York Magazine):

-
To celebrate his 68th birthday (January 8th, same as Elvis) and a retrospective box set (with two new songs) entitled “Nothing Has Changed,” the Iron Horse Music Hall presents its annual January tribute show with a dozen or so of the Valley’s best musicians interpreting the many moods and masks of David Bowie. Nothing Has Changed: A Tribute to David Bowie with Lord Russ, Gentle Hen, The Fawns, Colorway, Wishbone Zoe, The Claudia Malibu. Fancy Trash and more to be announced happens on Thursday, January 8th at 7PM. Bowie has released a video for one of two new songs included on the box. It brings the rock chameleon into jazz territory, backed up by a horn-heavy jazz big band. The accompanying video has a film noir look that complements the slinky sound.

Each elementary school, J.F.K. Middle School, and Northampton High School will receive funds raised from Transperformance. Your support for this event will help keep art alive in the public schools and in the community. Last year’s benefit, Transperformance 23: Beyond Bob, provided $1,200 to each school due in part to the dollars raised by donors like you. The money goes towards great projects in our local schools. We also raised an additional $12,500 that was just recently distributed in our ArtsEZ round of grants to artists, schools, and small art organizations to maintain the artistic and cultural heritage of Northampton, Florence, and Leeds.
