Art Evolution

CW-BSS-CD-cover-web

You may soon notice a distinct change in our color scheme.

The artwork that will be gracing these pages is by an amazing painter named Laura Nugent. You can check her Facebook page out here and see her other work. She painted the CD and tray artwork for the debut album, and now I’m thrilled to have her on board for the cover (seen above). My old and dear friend from Italy, Pietro Spica returns for some more of his whimsical watercolor for the back cover this time. And last but not least, Jodi Nicholas added her beautiful photography to the inside. You can check out her travel photography and more at her new website, Approachable World.

All in all it’s a beautiful album and I can’t wait to share this new record with you all.

Speaking of records, last week I received test pressings of the 180 gram vinyl. The ten-song disc was cut at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood by Chris Bellman, one of the greats in the lacquer cutting world. It sounds fantastic and it represents a dream come true for me, a child of the 70s, who always wanted a 12″ of my own. Stay tuned for details on how you can pre-order the vinyl (complete with download card) from this very limited initial run of LPs.

Well, that’s about it, gang.

As always, if you like what we do it would be great if you could share us with the world.

Share our Facebook page (or like us if you don’t already).

Follow us on Twitter.

Or send somebody to our Bandcamp page to listen to the whole first album.

Hope to see some of you at next week’s shows.

Plenty of great things coming up for spring and I’ll be sure to let you know when the time draws near.

Thanks for reading.

And on we go . . .
